Time to Revist My Why!

Hey Gang,

Boy have I really been slacking off lately. Not only haven't I been posting on a regular basis, but I have slipped up on my eating and working out as well. Unfortunately I feel this has had a negative trickle down effect on the rest of my life. Because I am not eating right and working out I don't have energy. Because I am not eating right and working out I'm not sleeping well, thus I have been very moody. Lack of sleep has caused my stress level to rise quicker then normal and losing my cool way to often. Unfortunately the ones I love the most usually bare the brunt of this. Another problem I have noticed is that I am dwelling on things much longer the I used to. I guess what I am trying to point out is that everything is connected. How you take care of yourself not only you, but those around you.

So, while I was listening in on the Team Beachbody Coaches Conference Call, one of the speakers mentioned that as part of The Getting Started Right Guide, he was sitting down with all of his personally sponsored coaches to go over their why's. For those of you who aren't familiar with this term, basically when a person goes about setting their goals it is important to have a very strong reason or why behind reaching that goal. It will make that person work that much harder to reach their goal. This got me thinking that is was time to revisit my reasons (or why's). Now I am not just talking about building a business, although I do need to revisit those another time. I'm talking about my why's for eating right and working out. It has become obvious to me that I have lost my focus on why I was pushing myself so hard and that needs to be fixed immediately before I slip to far back into my old habits.

Until next time, make it a GREAT day!

An Invitation

Hey Gang,

I know I haven't posted in awhile, was dealing with some issues last few weeks. It seemed to take the drive right out of me. I thought I was going to get back on the wagon starting this past Monday, but my mojo is still missing. I think it is a catch 22, I'm lacking the energy so I am not working out and I am lacking the energy because I am not working out. You know it must be bad if I am not even posting anything. Part of my problem has been I have been going to bed much later then is my norm. Major League Baseball has the brilliant idea of starting the Phillies playoff games at 8:00 at night. Anyone who watches baseball knows that a short playoff game lasts 3 and half hours. So while I normally try to be in bed by 10:00 pm, I have not been able to go to sleep before 12:00 am. This has made it very hard for me to get out of bed at 6:00 am to start my morning routine. Which mess up the rest of the day.

Anyway I just wanted you to know that I am still alive and plan on getting back to my normal routine as soon as my schedule allows me to. On a completely different topic, you will notice a new video at the top of the page. It is a special invitation for the CEO of Beachbody, to join us in our battle against obesity. Please do me a favor and watch it, it is very motivational.

Until next time... Make it a GREAT night!!!

Holy Cow!

Hey Gang,

So thanks to the Phillies game I was unable to get in my afternoon work out yesterday. I know my priorities probably are a little out of whack, but I did push play with Ab Burner and AM Yoga as well as 30 push ups in the morning. So I didn't feel super guilty about not working out in the afternoon.

Woke up to a nice surprise this morning. As per usual the alarm sounded at 6:00 AM and I did not press snooze. So I dragged myself out of bed and went down stairs to push play with my normal routine. Allie started back to work on Monday, so it is now my job to make sure she is awake before I head down stairs. Because of the new job and our hectic schedule she is unable to work out, but she is getting exercise walking to and from the train station on a daily basis. We'll slowly work exercise back into her routine after she adapts to her new schedule.

Anyway so after my normal morning routine I stepped on the scale and I was pleasantly surprised by the number on the display. 235 pounds! I couldn't believe it myself. So I stepped off the scale and let it reset and then stepped back on. 235 pounds again! Seeing that number definitely add a bounce to my step today. This means I am down roughly 55 pounds since I started My Lifestyle Change back in 2005, 25 pounds since I started with Beachbody in March of 2008 and 9.5 pounds since I started Round 2 of ChaLEAN Extreme.

Now admittedly I have not been pushing play the last week or so as hard as I would have liked, but my eating has been very good. I'm not keeping track of my calories as close as I should be, but I have been doing this for 4 years and I know I'm coming in right where I need to be. I just wanted to point out that if you slip up on working out, but you are still eating right you can still lose weight. You can still change your body, you just have to be willing to make the necessary changes to your life.

Until next time... Make it a GREAT day!

I Was Sick

Hey Gang,

Sorry again I have been MIA, last week I was a bit under the weather. So I was unable to work out from Wednesday until Saturday. Well that is not entirely true, I tried to work out Wednesday morning, but my head was so congested I nearly passed out. So, since I only did 1 work out last week, I have decided to restart Week#3 yesterday.

Being in my second round of ChaLEAN Extreme I am definitely ready to move onto the Push Phase. I am starting to feel a little boredom setting in, but I am determined to push myself through it. I will not let myself quit. I have goals I want to reach and ChaLEAN Extreme is going to help me get there.

So yesterday morning I woke up and did AM Yoga, and 10 Minute Trainer Abs. No that was not a typo. As I said before I felt a little boredom creeping in so I thought I would change things up a bit. My core was very sore after this work out, it completely shocked my body. Later yesterday afternoon I pushed play with Burn Circuit #1. Definitely didn't do my best with this work out. I am still feeling a bit run down, so I will have to make up for it the rest of this week and next week when I do it again one last time for this round.

Big announcement for all of my readers. As most of you may know I have been replacing one meal a day with Shakeology. Not only is it the healthiest meal of my day, but I am actually saving money on a daily basis. Well Beachbody has just released a the Shakeology Sample Packets. They come in 24 Chocolate Packets, 24 Greenberry Packets, or 12 of Chocolate and 12 of Greenberry (this is the perfect option for people who wanted to try each flavor before buying the monthly supply). Shakeology Packets are perfect for people on the go, just grab a packet, your Shakeology Shaker Cup and a bottle of water and you are good to go.

Well the is all for now, until next time...

Make it a GREAT day!
